So I still need to update through Italy and the end of my trip (fail), but I got all the mp3s for my recital and needed to post them SOMEWHERE, so I am posting them HERE!!!
Enjoy!
(The dialogue is also still there, so you'll get to enjoy all my awkward witty banter, too...)

Granada - Day 2
The next day we went to the Alhambra, which is a church that used to be a Muslim church (well, it was kind of like a little town…it’s huge!) that was taken over by the Catholics.
Our drive up:
The Alhambra:
The Muslims had built a fountain with 12 lions; every hour, it would change which lion was making the water. The catholics took it apart to try and figure out how it worked, but when they put it back together, it didn’t work anymore. Now they are working on restoring it so that it will work (with the help of modern technology, of course…still haven’t figured out the fountain, I guess). I couldn’t take pictures of the actual fountain, but here’s a picture of the sign:
And here’s where the lion fountain is usually:
More Alhambra pictures:
This is the catholic part of the Alhambra. Not nearly as pretty.
Here’s Granada! It’s really cool to be able to see the whole city from here!

Kait then took us to an Arab market, which was cool. They had really inexpensive tea sets, teas, clothes…
That night we went out for Katelyn’s official 21st birthday birthday celebration.
We started the night with what we thought would be delicious “chupitos” (shots), 50 cents per shot. Nope. Bailey’s with menthe and whipped cream:
Which was followed by a shot that ended up being Apple liquor and bailey’s…by the time we could actually take the shot after we paid and everything, the Bailey’s had curdled, and it was disgusting. We left.
We moved to a place with chupitos for a Euro.
I told the bartender it was her bday, so he made her a special shot with pink frosting stuff, that apparently was delicious.
I left pretty early in the night since I was still not feeling super great cold-wise. Apparently the birthday girl got to 21 shots, which is pretty impressive. She didn’t get sick, and they got her back to the hotel ok. All in all, a successful night.
The next morning, they walked us around the town to see a few things we hadn’t seen yet.
And we ended our trip with some churros and chocolate. THESE are CHURROS. Pretty much never eating churros in Madrid ever again after having these. Madrid ones are weeny.
YAY! Definitely had a fun time in Granada, and someday I hopefully will get to go back!
