Aeropuerto

Oh man. It's airport day. BLEGH I hate flying. Just want this part of the journey to be over.

It's also 5:30 in the morning...got here at 4...freaking airports need to hire more people, it was extremely frustrating checking in with the computers.

It's been really hard to say goodbye to everyone, especially Nick and my parents. I suck at goodbye's, and I get homesick so easily, but I also am really excited to start this adventure, and so blessed to have this opportunity.

So grateful to Jenna and Brittany for really pumping me up for this trip; it's nice to talk to people that have done it, and had really positive experiences, and to get their advice and stuff...and to Nick and Marina for talking about their experience in a long distance relationship lol. Lots of skype in my future; it's amazing how much I took texting/cell phones for granted during summers that I did the long distance thing. We are so lucky to be able to communicate that easily when the long distance is at least in the same country.

Not looking forward to essentially being awake for a total of about 32 hours...I land in Madrid at 7:25am their time, I have a meeting there at 6pm, and they say really really try to stay awake until a decent sleeping hour, which makes sense. So prolly 8ish I will crash. :-\ Luckily my Madrid roomie is flying from DC to Spain on the same flight as me, so I won't be arriving alone, and she'll probably be just as exhausted. Looks like I'll be drinking LOTS of cafe today.

Speaking of, I'm off to find a Starbucks...here's my contact info if you feel like getting in touch at all while I'm in Madrid:
